This week I'm along for a sweet ride

A jump up and down and let my feet s  l  i  d  e ride

The children are moving and singing and making creations

Smiling and laughing, I love this congregation

 

I strap on my six-string to “dig down deep”

Monday through Friday then maybe I’ll sleep

Cookers are cooking and teachers are teaching

Each volunteer is ummm… volunteering?

We’re all working hard in this VBS thing

 

This week I’m running, my schedule’s off-kilter

I need to remember to use my God-filter

To sort through the chaos and pluck out His best;

The precious moments He holds dear to His chest

 

Mr. Makitt’s adventures leave us on the precipice

Backpacks are filling with super essential gifts

But more than a good time we’re learning Joshua 1:9

And that there is one King, His name is J-E-S-U-S!

 

I love VBS
